We are more than a same day courier, we don’t just run small vans for same day requirements and emergencies. We have access to a range of vehicles including artics and specialist vehicles to support loading. We take advanced bookings, full and part loads, and support regular runs. Plus, you only pay one way.
No contracts or minimum order volumes.
As lockdown has eased, we have seen an increase in demand to support other hauliers, in particular pallet networks who are facing record demand. We have provided on the day emergency solutions and formed ongoing partnerships.
Whether a haulier requires our service for a day, a week, on an ad hoc basis or long term, our 5 star service is always provided.
We have access to a varied fleet, and due to our network scale and strength we can even provide artics at the last minute, including on the day requests.
Here’s an example…
A National haulier with over 30 sites across the UK, running over 1,000 tractors and 2,000 trailers, contacted Speedy Freight to support a back log of 1,000 pallets, due to the influx in demand following the UK’s easing of lockdown in 2021.
The haulier has over 2,000 colleagues supporting their operation, but due to record levels of demand they were all tied up. The company needed an emergency extension to their team.
1,000 UK standard pallets, requiring urgent delivery throughout the UK.
Speedy Freight instantly said yes following the urgent request for support. The team immediately set to work, planning loads, route planning and putting a supervisor in place at the required depot to manage Hub runs, including multi-drops.
The team also support with Short Wheel and Extra Long Wheel base vehicles to facilitate Hub and Spoke deliveries including multi drop deliveries to domestic homes, with vehicles provided for full days on a day rate. These services are available at short notice, with as little as 12 hours advanced notice.
Not only does the client benefit from a dedicated team, on site operations team and access to a flexible fleet, they only pay one way.
This relationship has developed from a last minute transaction, to on going regular runs.
