Why are couriers so bad?

We know that often, trying to find the right courier can be frustrating. Here at Speedy Freight, we are all-too-familiar with our clients’ issues as they try to find the right courier for them, and end up more and more frustrated. That’s why we take every care to make our courier service better than the rest, and undertake each consignment with the utmost attention to detail. Unlike many commercial courier services, which are unreliable, slow and ill-equipped for unique loads, Speedy Freight offers a huge variety of services for all sectors, including same day and next day delivery, specialised vehicles and 24-hour service. We take a look at some of the common issues with couriers below, and how Speedy Freight is different from the rest.

Unreliability

Though a courier is often entrusted with highly valuable or important consignments, this is the biggest problem we hear from our clients about other couriers, and the biggest reason clients choose our services instead. Often, other courier services are frustrating for clients, who cannot get a reliable collection or delivery time, struggle to get hold of their driver or company, and are left trying to find out the status of their consignment.

At Speedy Freight, we always strive for a one-hour collection time with our same-day period – from when you make the booking! We know that sometimes, consignments just can’t wait – which is why we ensure that our collections are prompt and timely. Our five-star Trustpilot rating lets you know that our courier service is one to trust – no matter where you are!

Lack of Communication

This is another issue that we often hear about from our clients who have had experiences with other courier services. It can be difficult to entrust your stock or personal items with a courier service in the first place, but particularly hard when you can no longer keep track of where your item is! From unexpectedly long journeys, to being unable to track a vital consignment, we think it’s important to stay in touch.

That’s why, at Speedy Freight, we operate a Tracking system – whereby you’ll receive Status Updates on the whereabouts of your driver and your goods. We know it’s important for you to be confident in the status of your items and to be alerted once they’ve been delivered.

Lack of availability

Another common issue facing courier clients is that many couriers suffer from a lack of availability – whether that be a delay in processing your request, a failure to move your items within your required time frame or simply a lack of vehicle availability. It can be hugely difficult for clients to find a courier with suitable availability.

At Speedy Freight, we have over 60 branches nationwide, which means we’re on call wherever you need us. With our availability open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and 365 days a year including Bank Holidays and the Christmas/New Year period, Speedy Freight is there when you need us. With access to our fleet of over 4,000 vehicles, including specialised vehicles and heavy-duty vehicles for bulk movement or abnormal loads, we’re guaranteed to have exactly what you need.

Speedy Freight takes every care to bring you the very best courier service we can. To get in touch with Speedy Freight and find out how we can help you, simply contact your local branch and we’ll get you sorted – moving whatever you need, whenever you need it.
